Meet Alyssa
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Maryland, Virginia, District of Columbia, Pennsylvania and Vermont. I offer telehealth sessions as well as in person sessions for those who live locally in the DMV. I have a masters degree in Social Work from Catholic University of America, am a 200-hr Registered Yoga Instructor, am an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, am a trained Safe and Sound Protocol administrator, and am a Board Registered Supervisor in the State of Maryland and DC.

My goal is to approach this process in a way that is both accessible and even playful.
As a therapist who is focused on root causes and relational dynamics, I understand that delving into our deepest wounds can be challenging. Through blending curiosity, humor, creativity, courage, and gentle support, we will explore the intricacies of your inner self in a manner that is both accessible and uplifting.
I approach counseling with an anti-racist, person-centered, trauma focused lens, recognizing that these frameworks benefit us all. I am affirming and inclusive of all individuals finding their own identity within the LGBTQIA+ community.
I have over 15 years of experience with a range of organizations providing counseling, programming, and training support. I have specialized trainings and certifications in trauma-informed and trauma focused care.
